Our time is coming, as Louis says, and the Rasmussen Report on socialism vs.
capitalism looks good from our perspective, but these figures seem much too
good to be true. For example, 30% of Democrats "prefer socialism to
capitalism." That's about 5.4 million of the 17.6 million Democrats who
voted for Obama. Of course more people move left in hard times, and it's
our obligation to bring them in, but I wouldn't bet a ruble on such figures
without a much larger sample of opinion and the knowledge all those polled
really understood the terms. At this time there's no telling where the
developing populism in our country may lead, and it could be to the right ?
but with "33% of the adults under 30" on the socialist side, what's to
worry?
