Re: [Marxism] Not 'RoP' but '% of total profits' - duh. Re: USprofits collapse in 4th qtr
And there is nothing sustainable about small agriculture per se. Sustainable
agriculture as you describe is only possible when backed by sufficient
industrial development to support the inputs required to make such activity
yield beyond subsistence.
------------------------------------
What industrial inputs? Heirloom seed banks? Cow shit? Chicken shit? Sheep
shit? So VERY industrial.
I'm quite sure the organic family farms and CSR's up here in the Berkshires
would be interested in your findings. I guess the monthly treasure trove of
organic veggies I receive, in a market beyond subsistence, simply doesn't
exist. And to think what I've been eating is either a figment of my imagination
or the product of rural idiocy! I'm sure the proprietors would find that
argument equally compelling.
It actually takes much know-how to run a successful farm. But who am I to
question the enlightened urbanite when it comes to all of.us idiots living out
in the boondocks!
