Whatever... if it's the idiocy of rural life your offering instead of Eden--
no thank you to both.
As for agricultural chemicals etc.-- you can account for their cost and
impact but utilizing total factor productivity analyses.
Be that as it may, your original statement was that we should revise our
analysis to conclude, or include, that China having 63-66% population tied
to rural production isn't such a bad thing.
It is. Anyway you cut it.
And there is nothing sustainable about small agriculture per se.
Sustainable agriculture as you describe is only possible when backed by
sufficient industrial development to support the inputs required to make
such activity yield beyond subsistence.
