No, but the elite led them to victory. No elite and the provisional
government would have prevailed.

The problem is not in having an elite, it's in having an elite that
isn't engaged with the mob, isn't connected. Marx was part of the
elite, so was Engels, so was Luxemburg and Trotsky and Lenin. Stalin
and Mao, on the other hand, were both of the mob.
