The British Observor (google Observor/Guardian) newspaper has an
interesting article on attempts to keep the Apache and Commache languages
alive. Neglected on the Left is the plight of minority languages
throughout the world and the cultural loss this represents. An amazing
number are due to disappear in the next decades. Even world languages like
French are under assualt by English and its variants. In my native home
Irish is extremely fragile.
