(This will be my last comment on this thread.  Despite appearances, I don't 
spend most of my time discussing the Middle East conflict.  Anyone interested 
in political ideas that have nothing to do with the present topic is encourage

The roots of most Palestinian's anti-Zionism is rooted in concrete oppression 
at the hands of Israel.  This is what distinguishes it from European 
anti-Semitism.  The concrete oppression experienced by Palestinians living in 
the occupied territories is a completely different issue than the ideological 
processing of this conflict by the European and North American left.  When 
Indymedia allows without comment the posting of cartoons featuring a red fist 
smashing a star of david, then the ideological processing of the conflict no 
longer has anything to do with the concrete oppression of the Palestinians.
