Don't know what happened to the post.  Apologies.

There was nothing "defensive" in my response which simply pointed out
what seems obvious to me....

The question's not been delivering "something concrete" necessarily,
but something to refuel the hope-and-change tank for the legions of
young Obama supporters.  They aren't going to get that from the Left
punditocracy talking, mostly to themselves, about what the president
really wants to do about health care.  On the other hand, the
president himself could revive their support.  Obama's position alone
testifies to his abilities as a salesman, and he wouldn't even have to
do anything necessarily more concrete.

And if he actually wants to do something more concrete, does anyone
doubt that the president has more power than the prominent
"progressives" who urged his election?
