Well, Debs thought that under socialism "All men will be god-like, for all  
men are potential gods."
 
Trotsky thought under socialist that men's voices "would be more  musical."
 
And Antonio Labriola thought all men would be eight feet tall.
 
Of course, there was some truth in all of their speculations:  Better  
nutrition and less scarcity through e a more egalitarian society would  enhance 
physical growth, as dietary changes in the past centuries have shown;  absence 
of 
social stress would lessen the environment that made human  communication a 
cacaphony of conflicting self-interest; and, the ability of each  to develop 
according to his best ability under a communistic society would make  men more 
"god like."
