But that's only during testing, as the article clarifies. During
actual production, open fields will *have* to be used, if crops are to
be grown on a large scale.
Many anti-GM people fear (unfoundedly for the most part) unanticipated
side effects, which can only manifest later and will not be caught in
testing to begin with.
So this is sort of a non sequitur.
In any case,Cuba needs to be applauded for not kow-towing to the
Luddite, reflexively anti-GM greenie-green bandwagon.
