No doubt, but other places with recent hate crimes against Latinos include
Brooklyn and Long Island. I don't think this is a "southern" problem -- or
at any rate, not JUST a southern problem.

I think the comrade who pointed the finger at Lou Dobbs and his ilk --in
other words, the national political/social climate-- is closer to the mark.
They've even got Black folks doing it, as in the case of the two Ecuadorean
brothers last December in New York City.

I just posted the thing on the immigrant rights event here in Atlanta today,
but you should look up on Google News the stories about the similar
Providence, RI, event, and look at the comments. Complete and total racist
bullshit. Which needs to be taken on, especially by the highest government
officials. But Obama and his people haven't said word one.
