Even if most folks in the US did not have the level of religious views as
Jindal, I do believe a great majority would say "Hey, what he believes is his
bidness." I live by the Texas-Mexico border where most folks are either
Catholic or evangelical and I assure that though tjeymay not agree with his
religious fervor, they would not see anything weird about possession or the
like.

That's not my impression of the U.S. population. They're not more-or-less
rational "first cause" deists, not mostly. Maybe living in the South warps
my perspective, but remember, Palin went or goes to some church where they
speak in tongues and all that kind of nonsense, and no one thought the worst
of her for that, except a minority of the liberals who would have never
voted for her in million years anyways.
