By your logic, Marxists in the imperialist countries would also have to  stop
criticizing Zionism, too, because, after all, Zionism could flourish  only
because material conditions to do so were created imperialism!

Hmmm...a straw man masquerading as political discourse. The fact  that the 
state which Zionism gave rise to is itself an oppressor  state, part of the 
imperialist axis emanating out of Washington, may  of course have something to 
do 
with the distortion of the political,  social, and economic landscape in the  
region.
