I think this is unfair. There is little question in the Marxist movement about 
support for "resistance" in general, to use your example, the resistance in 
France during WWII. Clearly there *is* resistance or opposition to the idea of 
support for *Islamic* resistance on the left, hence a talk or an article 
addressing that subject is entirely appropriate. And even if you were to claim 
that a person not supporting that resistance is automatically disqualified from 
calling themself a Marxist, still there would be a place for a Marxist to 
address an audience of non-Marxists on that subject.
