Goddammit Jim, I'm an electrician, not a statistician..
When I watched the Rosling show some time ago, I didn't have the means
to criticize it - some primordial suspicion hardly makes good
"criticism", so I was willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt
as well. Fuck, what else was I supposed to do??
I haven't had the time nor the chance to figure out about statistical
niceties (and probably couldn't do it on my own anyway), so it's good
that someone familiar with stuff like this takes the time to clarify the
matter to us less worthy people who are so stupid as not being able to
tell whether some statistical wizard is pulling their leg.
Maybe there should be something like Children's ABC to Marxism and
Statistics list for people like me so that killakai's bandwidth wouldn't
be wasted anymore..
