I certainly didn't mean to launch a star chamber proceeding either.  Rohan, 
I just thought your post was unnecessarily sharp. And no, Australians can't 
be expected to learn Spanish any more than people in the western hemisphere 
are likely to learn Indonesian. This isn't an "American" list but a global 
one, and realistically English is going to be the world language whether we 
like it or not.

But actually I thought I remembered some policy that gave Spanish a certain 
status on the list. Given Lou hasn't intervened, either I'm wrong about that 
or the policy has changed.
