[Marxism] Death of Steffie Brooks

This is to inform one and all that Steffie Brooks, after a determined fight
for life, died peacefully Monday night at Calvary Hospital in Bronx, New
York.

At the time, Linda Loew, Guy Miller, and myself were present. Her father,
Maurice Brooks, Steve Bloom and others (whose name at my advanced age and
the late hour, I forget) had spent time with her during the day.

 

Steffie was a complex and perceptive person, who played extraordinary
influence on my life, personally and politically. I am so glad to have been
there in support of  her to the end. Her presence and her loss will be with
me to the end as well.

 

In cooperation with her family, friends and political associates of Steffie
are organizing a memorial meeting that will be held sometime in March.
