[Marxism] Hudson & Hossein-Zadeh

The latest from couple of my favorite economists, on Counterpunch of course:

"Too Big to Fail:" a Bailout Hoax<http://counterpunch.com/zadeh01302009.html>

Obama's New Bank Giveaway <http://counterpunch.com/hudson01302009.html>

That despite Hudson being basically a left Keynesian rather than Marxist.
It is his analysis of financial parasitism as being at the structural root
of the present crisis that gives Hudson his edge. Hudson's determined and
consistent opposition to the various bailout schemes being floated is a
refreshing and interesting contrast to that other left Keynesian, Doug
Henwood. How can two economists of similiar theoretical persuasion come to
diametrically opposed conclusions in practice?

Hossein-Zadeh has focused on the other, specifically imperialist, leg of the
structure of capitalist parasitism in our time, the U.S.-centered but
international military industrial sector. As with the big "banks", its
continued existence will go unquestioned under Obama.
