I haven't read much of whatever Walter has posted for the last year or so,
but as far as I can tell NOBODY on this list agrees with "his politics".
Again, as far as I can tell, Walter has totally lost any political bearings
of his own. Hanging on to the "lifeline" of the Cuban government's
statements is certainly better than any other govt/state that I can think
of, but it doesn't help Walter overcome the emotional/psychological issues
he's been exhibiting on this list, and it doesn't excuse his behavior.
I agree somewhat with JB's contention that this list comprises a "new" sort
of community (much needed in the face of the extreme atomization/alienation
produced by present day capital, which finds its most extreme forms in the
"advanced" [read imperialist] capitalist societies), but "we" still have to
be firm with a member of the community who persists in STUPID, infantile,
noncommunicative characterizations of other members of said community. I'm
all in favor of Walter coming back to the list, but only after recognizing
(as Waistline did -- really great to have you back; keep hammering away on
your experiences and do a lot more to expound on your concept of the
"communist class" that you expressed a few years back) that he has to be
more "community" minded.
