[Marxism] Obama on Palestine
The Palestine/Israel conflict is central to everything that's going on. That's
what some on the left have been saying for years, and Obama agrees:
"I do think that it is impossible for us to think only in terms of the
Palestinian-Israeli conflict and not think in terms of what's happening
with Syria or Iran or Lebanon or Afghanistan and Pakistan. These things
are interrelated."
And then there's the "tell" in the interview: "And I will continue to believe
that Israel's security is paramount."
"Paramount": chief in importance or impact
The lives of Palestinians? Distinctly secondary (if that).
