Re: [Marxism] Supporting Obama should not lead to expulsion

Comment
I voted for Obama, as did all of my neighbors, children, their friends and
their friends friend. The two reasons for voting for Obama are 1). Voting for
him made sense; 2). being on the right side of history. This means I possess
a concept of "side." There is no "proletarian side" or "revolutionary side,"
in the existing political sphere. Sides were taken during the election. In
my estimate what pushed Obama over the top was news of the deepening of the
crisis of capital and the fear it created throughout all classes. I was part of
the voting section of the working class, (fully understanding that the vast
majority do not vote), crossing an important juncture I have patiently waited
for an Obama and the Obama alignment - class intersection, to happen for
roughly 40 years. Those standing in the path of the masses cyclical trek to
the
voting booth, screaming Obama is just trying to be the highest executive
officer of the imperialist bourgeoisie were politely stepped over. However, to
be
stepped over meant being on the same side of the wave.
Obama's call for unity and sacrifice should be agreed with and challenged by
the communist call for unity and sacrifice. Unity? Yes. Sacrifice? Yes,
meaning seeing beyond ones limited economic interest and striving to under
economic interest as that of a class. A vote for Obama does not translate into
support of bourgeois politicians as such. Obama completes that quantitative
phase of our history; the end of that quantitative phase of our history called
the "Black Power Movement" and integrating blacks into the political sphere.
The implications are mind boggling.
I am glad to be back.
Thanks brother.
