Hosannas from this corner. Your justifications are well-put. Had Walter 
continued in this
mode, and we have every reason to believe he would have done just that, he 
would have
been in perpetual violation of list culture. Poorly conceived defenses of Obama 
initiatives
are one thing. Gratuitous press releases are another entirely. Frankly, anyone 
who fails to
understand why LP yanked Walter off the stage is playing dumb, or worse, a 
fool. Critical
fora unimpeded by provocateurs of the Walter sort are increasingly scarce, and 
this damn
well better remain one of them.
