No, to end the financial crisis.

CB: I think Krugman is talking about the Stimulus Plan. I don't think
the Stimulus Plan is aimed at the financial crisis. That is the TARP.

No, he has a plan to stop the current crisis which involves strong
Keynesian measures that Obama and his team of advisers are averse to.

CB: Krugman is proposing a bigger Stimulus than O. "Averse" is
tendentious. Krugman's proposal is not qualitatively different than O's
plan. Usually you would be criticizing Krugman as just another
bourgeois economist, but because he's _talking_ a bit stronger than O,
you forget your normal criticism of bourgeois economists.
Krugman is not proposing socialism.

Why the smile, Charles? I thought the CPUSA would be very much in favor
of cutting the unemployment rate in half or are you channeling the
