Carroll is under the impression that all the left is doing about the Israeli 
massacre is  "forwarding hair-raising news accounts to the list, issuing 
statements of solidarity or outrage, and circulating a few random petitions."  
It seems he's missed the fact that tens of thousands of people have been in the 
streets night after night in cities around the country and around the world, 
and that hopefully even more massive protests will be taking place this 
Saturday in Washington D.C., San Francisco, Los Angeles, and other cities 
around the world. And Mark thinks we need a "national assembly," missing the 
fact that most of these demonstrations, some as large as 10,000, were called on 
less than a day's notice.

Mass action IS needed, AND it is happening.
