  The name is Schueftan, Dan Schueftan. Sometimes re-transscribed from 
Hebrew script as Shiftan. His father was from Breslau, then a German city, 
today the Polish city of Wroclaw. 

  Schueftan is the director or deputy director of a "National Securities 
Studies 
Center" at the University of Haifa and has published several books. 

  He is like Yabotinsky reborn -- a thoroughbred reactionary. He called for a 
military attack on Iran.

  There is also a Wikipedia-article on him. Some of the quotes listed there I 
could not find in the source to which they were attributed, but they sound 
plausible nevertheless. 

   His stance can be summarised as this: "The Arab Palestinians hate us (the 
Jews) for eternity, they want to kill all of us, and we have to look forward to 
generations of armed conflict with them, which has to be victorious for us, 
and that can only happen with a stated which has a solid Jewish majority." 

  Which means a state different from what Abraham Lincoln proclaimed after 
the US Civil War, i.e. "government of the people, by the people, and for the 
people", but a state with a "government of 'my' ethnic group, by 'my' ethnic 
group and for 'my' ethnic group." 

  Germany went thru 12 years like that.
