A new depth of infamy was plumbed by Australia's Deputy Prime Minister.
Gillard a former star of the Australian Communist Party gushed into the
media with the following statement:

"Australia's Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard also blamed Hamas for the
breakdown in calm, saying: "Clearly, we are calling on Hamas and other
militants to cease shelling southern Israel. Obviously they have broken the
cease-fire and engaged in an act of aggression against Israel. Israel has
responded. We are echoing the calls from around the world for parties to
move back to a ceasefire."
What can one say to this ?  The wonderful words of the Australian National
Anthem come to mind- "Australians all let us rejoice for we are young and
free"  How can a sycophant ever be free?

Everything about this country's politicians reminds me of the instructions
given to British Ambassador Christopher Meyer when he was heading off to
Washington.  His instructions were vdry clear and quite simple  for an
English Diplomat to follow.  He was told "We want you get up the arse of the
White House and stay there."

Well when dear Christoper reached that wonderful place he would have found a
good number of Aussies there already slurping away eagerly.
