Fred responds:
Sorry, just a bit of irony at the expense of Gary M., a list contributor
from Oz (in more ways than one, it sometimes seems) who wrote that Glen Ford
was "brave" to denounce Obama. Louis' ????? is well taken.

I was distantly making the point that the United States is not a place where
it requires bravery to disagree with Obama (as I do, of course, among many
others, without fear for my life, liberty, or property) , or of course to
support him for that matter -- and that includes among Blacks. The country
is not being policed by robotic Obamatrons, nor is the blood of Obama
critics being drunk by ruthless Obamaphiliacs.

I should have said what I was referring to. An unnecessary diversion for the
subject of my post, which is how impressed I was with the correct tone and
content of the Assembly call (requiring some cold and correct political
nerve, in my opinion), and why I think it is important to support what will
certainly be a vanguard protest.
