Sounds like a warmed over content-free CNN analysis. Said department already 
has plenty of these world class physicists in its pay. I dare say the main 
function 
of such an appointment as energy secretary will be to throw dust in the eyes of 
the 
unanointed non-experts, to impart an aura of credibility to whatever further 
crackpot 
policies this senile system will dump on the public and environment. And,
however effective it may be in other respects, employing an intellectual and 
academic elite to organise and manage its estates certainly provides the ruling 
class with the opportunity to indulge in more tiresome preening and 
self-flattery.
