Re: [Marxism] Of victory and victories
No one ever said anything like Joaquin said, except Joaquin, and he said
because he again is doing what he does best-- whereas Mark distorts and
produces little songs, and Walter channels Lee Atwater, Joaquin race baits.
So he's the only voice that Latinos have at the federal government level?
And so what?
What was said is that Labor Notes reported that the union appealed to the
congressman.
What was said that such appeals and intervention can be expected in the
future, and that the parallel appeals to the federal govt. during the early
stages of the struggle.
I never said anything about the quality of the congressman or whether or not
anyone should appeal to him. That is wishful racebaiting. Sorry, Joaquin,
nobody named Furman on this list, nobody trying to frame a quilty man here.
But I think it is very interesting to see Joaquin go from his "limited
endorsement" of certain Dems based on their politics, i.e. McKinney, to
more or less blanket endorsement based on ethnicity.
Says it all, racebaits included.
Oh, and one more thing, I don't even know the name of the congressperson
from the district I live in... I know, I know, that's because I'm not Latino
and thus not concerned with the quality of my representatives. How uncivic
of me.
