What's up with Bob Avakian now? He became somewhat of an ultraleft cult figure 
in the 80s as the leader of the RCP after 
the "menshevik split" of Mickey Jarvis et. al. At that point they also got 
hegemony in a section of VVAW.  The RCP's website
