Don't forget that because of the electoral college system, a
small-party in a battleground state can well make the difference in an
election.

In 2000 in Florida, not only Nader but ALSO David McReynolds, the
Socialist Party USA candidate, receieved MORE votes than the final,
official difference in votes between Bush and Gore.
