Re: [Marxism] Organizers In -- And Beyond -- the Obama Campaign
Well, I certainly think things are looking better for the Obama/Democrat
campaign. That is, will the difference in the polling between McCain and
Obama now increased...to *slightly* more than it was for Kerry and Gore,
will make it harder for the Republicans to throw the election illegally
which is what they did in the last two elections? The defeat of the
McCain camp by the US Supreme Court this week (to basically throw out
200,000 new registered voters in Ohio) isn't going to help the Dirty
Tricks Dept. of the RNC. So, Obama may well pull this off. I'm now
giving even odds as opposed to my previous 3-2 for McCain. So much for
bookmaking....
Mark brings up an very important point. Obama has built a huge,
absolutely huge political machine. It exists outside the structure of,
but in support for, the Democratic Party. And they got bucks. Mark
supposes that it will continue as a "support mechanism for the new
administration". I tend to agree but one never knows. The real test for
them will be the 2010 mid-term elections...to keep any Red-into-Blue
states...Blue.
