If the Democrats win--and I'm much more confident in that outcome than
Walter seems to be--there is still no reason for believing that the
structure that's elected Obama--a real enough force but largely there
as a result of the heavy bankrolling of it--will continue as anything
other than a support mechanism for the new administration.

At least, I can't think of any time that it actually ever happened that way.
