Re: [Marxism] Organizers In -- And Beyond -- the Obama Campaign

HUNTER GRAY asked:
An obvious and fast on-coming question is,
"What will happen when Obama [and the Democrats] win?"
========================================================

Neither of these are a sure thing, in my opinion.
Yes, it's true that the media seem to have decided
that Obama is ahead, as the polls seem to reflect.
But that's no guarantee that the Democrats will be
in fact the winners. The Republican party appears
very discredited right now, but the Democrats are,
even with what seems unlimited funding, not at all
guaranteed to win the election.

Even if the Democrats and Obama get a majority of
the vote, there's no guarantee that they will win
the election. They didn't in 2000, and the rightist
political establishment in the United States isn't
in a mood to give up their many ill-gotten gains.

While a big get-out-the-vote operation seems to be
going on, I must say I don't see a big effort to
DEFEND THE RIGHT TO VOTE, which is obviously under
fierce attack now, as the ACORN story indicates.

It ain't over till it's over.
