[Marxism] Interimperialist fallout from the crisis

S. Artesian

__________

If we are going to talk about sectors, then we need to know how we define
them and what makes them dominant.

What is meant by the military-industrial sector? Does that include GE which
derives a portion of its revenues from defense? If so do we adjust for the
portion?

Do we measure by capitalization, revenues, profits, contribution to GDP?

By any of those measures, the military, in military-industrial, can hardly
be described as dominant.

Contribution to GDP? Let's try housing-- app 10-11% b.c. (before collapse).

Profits, revenues? Let's try oil, QED.

Capitalization? Oil again maybe? Maybe not.

Might be interesting to compare the US and UK defense sectors specific
gravity in relation to their overall economies.

^^^
CB: Here's a way to measure dominance: What sector can march up to the federal
state power , demand a $ trillion _grant_ and get it ?

The Auto "Big" three monopolies could only get a $25 billion _loan_ . That
almost quantifies the level of power distribution between finance and
industrial capital ( in the merger of finance and industrial capital that is
finance capital in imperialism).

If failing, could military-industrial companies get a trillion dollar gift
from the federal state ?
