I think the real danger is not mobilized nightriders at this point.
All it takes is for one of those pyschopathic racists to decide to
free the country from the spectre of a black president.  And that's
the immediate danger of the way the McCain campaign has operated. For
those of us of a certain age, this has always been the lurking fear...

Frankly, if something were to happen to Obama, I think we can all see
the black communities across America going up for grabs (and a serious
attempt to impose a severe post-9-11 repression to follow).
