[Marxism] Bogus lesbians 'causing emotional damage'

Interesting article on "fauxmosexuals" and "celesbians." "Women who 
pretend to be lesbians do it to titillate men," says gay Web siter Tim 
Duggan.
   In the 1970s, during the heyday of radical feminism, there was a 
similar phenomenon called "political lesbianism." These were radical 
feminists who identified as lesbians, but didn't actually "do it," 
considering the sex act unseemly or dirty. I was struck at the time, as 
I am now, by how unusual--probably threatening to self-image--it would 
be for a similar widespread cultural phenomenon of straight men 
pretending to be homosexual. (As Voltaire said, "Once a philosophe, 
twice a sodomite.") This phenonmenon is another example of capitalism's 
resilience in co-opting and commercializing formerly radical lifestyles.
