[Marxism] What is behind the pogrom against Arabs in Accra a statement by the ISL

As usual in these cases the mass media try to paint a picture that  few poor
uneducated frustrated young Jews were offended by the insensitivity of an
Arab man who insulated deeply their religious feelings.

A picture of  the police is trying its best to stop the clashes between
Jewish and Arab rioters.

Yet the police was informed days before the pogrom organized by extreme
right Jews and others under their influence of such possible event and
ignored the warnings.

While supposidely patrolling the city in big forces to prevent other Jewish
pogroms against the Arabs the police could not so we are told prevent
demonostaration calling Death to the Arabs while throwing stones on an Arab
house, or tourching two Arab houses.

In other words the police is part of this pogrom and those who are calling
on the Arabs in Israel to trust the Police to defend them are knowingly or
stuitly to the degree of knowingly have responsibility as well. The only
road for the Arabs is to self defense. A self defense  that  will be based
on the Arab workers but Any Jewish democrat who claim that he or she is
against the pogroms will be able to participate.

We raise this demand not only on the Arab leadership but on the leadership
of the Communist party and Mertz.

The Jews who carried out this pogrom are not a small isolated group. Last
week

in an interview no other than GOC Northern Command Gadi Eisenkot stated:.



""What happened in the Beirut suburb of Dahiya in 2006 will happen in every
village from which shots are fired in the direction of Israel," Eisenkot
said to journalists from Yedioth Ahronoth. "We will wield disproportionate
power against every village from which shots are fired on Israel, and cause
immense damage and destruction. From our perspective, these are military
bases. This isn't a suggestion. This is a plan that has already been
authorized"



This is a plan to carry out a genocide. If the chiefs of the Zionist army
are calling openly to carry out a genocide against the Lebanese, and the
police allows the pogroms not only of Jewish settlers in Hebron but of their
ilk in Accra, it is clear that the only way out of this hell is an Arab
working class revolution. We can just hope and do our best that a section of
the Jewish workers will participate in it.
