[Marxism] Bourgeois Beatles

Regarding the youth hikers in Weimar Germany who Gardiner wanted to
emulate, see Daniel Guerin's The Brown Plague, in which he describes
them generally positively. The book is worth reading in its own right
for the anecdotes about the workers seeking a unified left response to
fascism and the scathing critiques of the bureaucrats blocking it.
