What is your basis for thinking that "unity is best for the socialist
movement in general" at *this* time?
When the government wants to develop a technology, it does not put all
its eggs in one basket. It funds several teams in several universities
and research institutes, who are trying *different* approaches to the
problem.
Likewise, at this time, it is *good* to have several different
socialist groups (SP, WWP, SEP, etc), trying out their different
approaches. Maybe *one* of these efforts will succeed. No one has a
magic silver bullet.
We should look upon the diversity and breadth of socialist groups as a
strength and not a weakness. What if the single effort into which
all groups potentially united, turned out to be a failure?
