I read it, but didn't weep. Just a twinge of sadness at how fucked up
much of the Trotskyist movement in the United States became in the
1970s. Nothing new here, really, that hadn't already appeared in the
Healyites' biggest pamphlet ever published (at 17 X 11 inches), /How the
GPU Murdered Trotsky: Security and the Fourth International/ (1976). I
did, however, find it interesting that in 1978, the Workers League was
discussing a "real turn toward the working class." This was precisely
the time the SWP was preparing its "turn to industry," supported at the
time by many hand-raisers (a few of whom are on this list), but, in my
view, merely a way station on the road to the current cultish
irrelevance of the Barnes clique. I presume that would confirm the
Healyite theory that Barnes et al., the Carleton College cabal, were in
fact CIA/FBI agents.
How bizarro can you get?
