I think we should definitely talk about and definitely oppose the bailout--
including but beyond the obvious: "Billions for Investment Bankers, Not One
Red Cent for Universal Healthcare."

Question is-- how do we move beyond simple "reform the securities industry,"
"back to the New Deal" type of agitation?

During the 1980s, smaller US agricultural producers were between the real
rock and hard place of debt, interest rates, and low prices. Jesse Jackson
copped quite a bit of popularity in farm areas, showing up at farm
foreclosures and auctions, leading protests.. Think he even raised the
slogan of no foreclosures, no seizures.

Don't see why we can't do the same with housing debt-- cancel it. Cancel
all residential mortgage debts on family units. Period.
