[Marxism] Letter to a Marxmail subscriber
Louis Proyect
The worst thing about what Walter has allowed himself to become is that
it allows the old cerebrum to work itself into a rut.
^^^
CB: Use of the cerebrum must involve criticism-self-criticism. And so
what about the rut in thinking which dogmatically finds , ohh, low and
behold the Democratic Party is bad, bad , bad , a grave yard for social
movements ? What an inaccurate conclusion from actual US history of
the last 75 years.
I don't find Walter's cerebrum to be less active than that of some who
criticize him.
^^^^^^^
Want to understand
how to regard the government of South Myzandustan? Just take a look
at
Prensa Latina.
^^^^
CB: Want to analyze the US political situation ? Just start whining
about Democrats. No need to think with the old cerebrum.
^^^^^
Walter should really make an effort to engage the old cerebrum before
it
is too late. Now that I am 63, I fully empathize with what Peter Camejo
told Jon Flanders when he listened to the mp3 of the 1976 interview:
"Jon thank you so much. You have no idea how much I loved hearing that
program. It made me realize how much my brain as slowed down."
^^^^^
CB: Hey , speak for yourself.
^^^^^
I can only suggest that Walter pry himself away from Prensa Latina and
read Mike Davis's wonderful books on Los Angeles and ecology.
Afterwards, he could begin to post about the influx of coyotes, the
fact
that drinking water might be soon produced from recycling sewage, the
labor movement, etc.
Nah, it'll never happen...
^^^^
CB: Is Mike Davis doing anything in relation to the state power , or
just writing good books ?
