Why don't you all just forget about the labels and answer these questions
to which I don't claim to know the answer? There are difficulties
here for revolutionaries and just thinking people.

What do you understand to be the long and short term
objectives of organizations such as the Taliban,
the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), Gulbuddin Heckmatyar'ss Hizbe Islami and
Al Qaeda (they are by the way neither Marxist nor popular
movements rooted in the oppressed peasantry or a disguised working class)?
What would be the implications of their grabbing centralized
political power? Should Karzai negotiate with them given
the present balance of power? What would be the outcome?
I understand the grounds for skepticism of
the possibility of humanitarian intervention, but you act as if you
are not concerned about the security implications of allowing the Afghan
National Army to be routed by such forces.
