The writer's reference to "a Persian bomb" is offensive in the extreme, and, 
despite his stance, plays right into the hands of the imperialists who are 
pushing the "reality" of such a thing.

I just finished posting a comment on another analysis of the Morris article on 
Huffington Post by David Bromwich. In it, Bromwich writes: "What if Iran's 
words 
since 1979 have been wilder than its deeds?"

But what are Iran's "words" on the subject? Its "Supreme Leader," Ayatollah Ali 
Khamenei, has gone so far as to issue a fatwa against nuclear weapons 
(http://lefti.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html#114490771368609060); its 
elected President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, has also repeatedly renounced the 
development and use of nuclear weapons.

So not only is there no evidence of such a "Persian bomb" on the way, there is 
ample evidence to the contrary. Accepting the "framing" of the argument in the 
terms of the imperialists is a dangerous trap.

A worthwhile article that I just finished reading and recomment, by Mazda
