Because ZANU-PF and the ANC have been traditional allies, but the
MDC's economic proposals appear to be inspired by Mbeki's
neoliberalism. I imagine that if the MDC had been allowed to take
power Mbeki would have had no trouble striking up an alliance with it
as well. He is a gifted opportunist.

Walter, the SACP backs Zuma, a long time bitter foe of Mbeki.
