[Marxism] work-needs

S. Artesian

Socially necessary labor time is the basis for realizing the exchange
value
of the commodity under capitalism. It is definitely not the basis for

meeting either social needs or individual needs under socialism.

Your analysis of socially necessary labor time as applied to socialism

absolutely creates wage differentials, class stratification and does so

based on the development of the inanimate component, the means of
production. In essence your are simply reproducing, or mimicking
capitalist
production relations.

^^^^
CB: I think you mean Marx's analysis of socially necessary labor time
does all this ( smile). My understanding of socially necessary labor
time in socialism is evidently the same as Marx's as demonstrated by the
below , sent to me by a comrade offlist

".after the abolition of the capitalist mode of production, but still
retaining social production, the determination of value continues to
prevail in the sense that the regulation of labour-time and the
distribution of social labour among the various production groups,
ultimately the book-keeping encompassing all this, become more essential
than ever."[1]
