The number of delegates reported in the media is given at 350 and at
800. The most reasonable read of this is that the former are
delegates, the latter are participants of other sorts, visitors, etc.
That makes the event smaller than the 1972 nomination of Jenness and
Pulley at Oberlin and Cleveland.
The media link aside, surely some of the dozens of McKinney supporters
must have gone to the convention, particularly those living in
Chicago. What can they tell us?
