HAITI / MEXICO*

Delegation in Mexico at the Brazilian embassy for the withdrawal of 
troops from Haiti

Correspondence.

"On May 30, a delegation of trade unionists went to the Embassy of 
Brazil in Mexico City to demand the withdrawal of Brazilian troops from 
Haiti, an occupied country under United Nations auspices. Other 
delegations were held in several capitals of the mainland (Š) in the 
framework of the decisions of the Second Continental Meeting against the 
free trade and the sovereignty of nations.

Representatives of trade unions of miners, teachers and professors at 
the University of Mexico, with activists of the ILC read and presented 
the "Letter to President Lula" written by Haitian activist David Josue.

Faced what the embassy called a "peace operation", they replied that "no 
military intervention has ever helped people solve their problems, to 
the contrary", and requested a response to the letter by David Josue.
