[Marxism] Different kinds of foreign bases

As relates to the "bases outside national territory issue", I would
like to point out that full imperialist nations such as USA or Western
European nations have a permanent policy of establishing a network of
global bases anywhere in the world, and cling to bases which are not
necessary for their own self defense, only serve an aggressive mission
against third party countries (e. g. Malvinas, Camp Bondsteel, etc.)
They also enlarge and reinforce that network day after day, adding new
bases as soon as they can.

The network of foreign bases of Russia has little to do with this. On
the contrary, they are the remnants of a former state which saved
Russia from a final takeover by the West during the Yeltsin era, not
to speak of the partitions envisaged by our good old friend Zbig
Brzezinsky. Today, they have a defensive role, and this is
particularly so when one thinks of the Russian populations scattered
in the Caucasus, etc., which are subject to harassment not only for
domestic issues but also due to imperialists fueling
inter-nationalities stress in the area. I believe that the network of
naval bases that the USSR had begun to establish during the 70s were
more "imperialist" in nature than the current network.

I am not prettyfying Moscow at all. I am just saying that though the
country can become an imperialist power, it is still not. And let us
hope socialist revolution makes it impossible for Russians to become a
full-bearded imperialist power.

1939 will, if the latter takes place, a whisper.
