Re: [Marxism] Enough already with the empty rhetoric

If you had paid attention, you would have noted I bought this up days
ago. The other parties that run candidates have no interest in working
with us (either because they are cults or because they are sectarian),
with the exception of PSL, and as far as I know, that may only be with
me. We attempted to reach out to all the other socialist organizations
about running a join ticket, and only the Freedom Socialist Party
responded (and positively). Don't attack the SP because the dialogue
is one way. In 2004, the SP Vermont endorsed the WWP candidate for
President and the SP Florida endorsed the SWP candidate for governor
(although this was done without consulting the members of the SPFL). I
also gave PSL advise on how to get their candidate on the ballot in
Florida.

In the meantime, despite selecting a candidate last October, folks in
Solidarity asked dual members of SP/Solidarity to see if we could get
the SP to dump its ticket and support McKinney (it is virtually
impossible to overturn the decision of the convention, and the
National Committee does not have the authority to do it in any event),
who wasn't even the Green Party candidate at the time of the request.

We do endorse Greens from time to time, but only those who run openly
socialist (not Socialist) campaigns or who are members of the SP as
well as the GP.
